How SIMIE TECH collects, uses, shares and protects personal information, including data processed through our platform, WhatsApp and other Meta products.

Last updated: 21 October 2026

In short

  • We collect only the information we need to answer enquiries, deliver our services and run our platform.
  • When you use our platform or when we build or run messaging for a client, we process customer data only on that business’s instructions.
  • We do not sell personal data, and we use data received through Meta products only to provide the service requested.
  • You can ask to access, correct or delete your data at any time. See Data Deletion Instructions.

1. Who we are

SIMIE TECH (“SIMIE TECH”, “we”, “us”) is a digital growth and AI automation company based in Lahore, Pakistan. We provide web development and design, AI agents and chatbots, business automation and integrations, and digital marketing. We also operate a software platform, Simie AI Agents, at app.simietech.com, that helps businesses manage their customer conversations on WhatsApp.

This policy explains how we handle personal information on our website, on our platform, in our services, and when we build or operate applications that use messaging platforms such as the WhatsApp Business Platform and other Meta products.

2. Our role: controller and service provider

Website visitors, prospects, clients and platform account holders. For information you give us directly (for example your contact details or your platform account details), we decide how it is used, so we are the data controller.

Our clients’ customers. When a business uses our platform, or we set up or run messaging, AI assistants or automations for a client, that business decides why and how its customers’ data is used. We process this data on the business’s behalf and on its instructions, as a service provider (processor). If you are a customer of one of these businesses, please also read that business’s own privacy policy.

3. Information we collect

  • Information you give us: name, phone number, email address, business name, the service you are interested in, message content, project materials you share, and billing details needed for invoices.
  • Platform account data: email address, password (handled by our authentication provider and stored in protected form), and sign-in activity.
  • Connected WhatsApp data: WhatsApp Business Account ID, phone number ID and display number, access tokens (stored encrypted), message templates, customers’ phone numbers and profile names, message content including text and media, timestamps, delivery and read status, and opt-in and opt-out records.
  • Information collected automatically on our website: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, approximate location, and cookie data. See our Cookie Policy.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive information such as government ID numbers, payment card numbers or health information through messaging. We advise businesses to design conversations so customers are not asked for it.

4. How we use information

  • To respond to enquiries and prepare proposals.
  • To provide, operate, support and improve our platform and services, as instructed by the business using them.
  • To send service messages, such as account notices, project updates, invoices and support replies.
  • To keep our website, platform and accounts secure and to prevent abuse and fraud.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
  • To send marketing about our own services, only to people who have opted in, with a way to opt out at any time.

5. Our platform (app.simietech.com)

On our platform a business can sign in, connect its WhatsApp Business Account, create and submit message templates, send messages to customers who have opted in, and receive replies and delivery updates in a shared inbox.

  • We use this data only to provide those features to the business that connected the account.
  • Each business can see only its own data. Access is restricted at database level, and only authorised people can reach platform systems.
  • A business can ask us to disconnect its WhatsApp account or delete its account and data at any time (see Section 12).
  • We are building optional AI-assisted replies. Until such a feature is switched on for a business, its message content is not sent to an AI provider, and we will update this policy before that happens.

6. Data received through Meta products

We use data received through Meta products, including the WhatsApp Business Platform, only to provide the specific services a business has asked us to provide, and in line with the Meta Platform Terms, Developer Policies and applicable WhatsApp business terms. We do not:

  • sell, license or trade this data;
  • use it to build advertising profiles of individuals or share it with data brokers;
  • use it to make decisions about eligibility for credit, insurance, employment or housing;
  • combine one business’s data with another business’s data;
  • transfer it to anyone except service providers needed to deliver the service, the business it belongs to, or where required by law.

7. Legal bases (where applicable)

Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on: your consent (for example, messages you have agreed to receive); contract (to provide services you requested); legitimate interests (such as securing our systems and answering enquiries); and legal obligation (such as tax records). You can withdraw consent at any time.

8. Who we share information with

  • Service providers that help us deliver our services: Supabase (database and authentication), Hostinger (server hosting), Meta Platforms (the WhatsApp Business Platform, which delivers messages), and, for our agency work, email, CRM, project and automation tools. They may use the data only to provide their service to us.
  • The business whose customer data we process on its behalf.
  • Professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers, under confidentiality.
  • Authorities, where we are legally required to. We review each request for legality, disclose only the minimum necessary, and keep a written record of the request, our response and the reasoning.
  • A successor business, if SIMIE TECH is merged or sold, with notice to affected people.

We do not sell personal data.

9. International transfers

Our platform data is stored with our database provider in Singapore and processed on a server in Malaysia, and WhatsApp messages pass through Meta’s systems. We are based in Pakistan, so your data may be accessed from Pakistan. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we use providers that apply appropriate safeguards and limit the data shared to what is needed.

10. How long we keep information

11. How we protect information

We use HTTPS encryption in transit, encrypted storage of WhatsApp access tokens, access controls that limit each business to its own data, strong authentication for our systems, and review of the providers we use. If a breach affects personal data, we will notify the affected businesses or individuals and any authority as the law requires. No online system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Your rights and how to use them

You may ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict your personal data, to object to certain uses, or to withdraw consent. To make a request, email info@simietech.com (or follow the steps on our Data Deletion Instructions page). Platform users can also ask us to disconnect their WhatsApp account or close their account. We may ask you to verify your identity, and we aim to respond within 30 days. If your data is held for one of our clients, we may direct your request to that client.

To stop receiving messages from a business, reply STOP to the message or tell us, and the opt-out will be honoured promptly. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

13. Children

Our website, platform and services are for businesses and are not directed to anyone under 18. If we learn we hold a child’s data without proper authority, we will delete it.

14. Third-party links

Our website may link to third-party sites, including WhatsApp, Meta, Google and social media. Their privacy practices are their own, and we encourage you to read their policies.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. We will post the new version here with a new “Last updated” date and, for material changes, give clearer notice.
